It is hard to tell in this picture, but the kids are modeling their new necklaces that we made. We found some seashells on vacation that had little holes in the top, so that is what is hanging in the center of the necklace. I let them decorate them however they wanted to with my beads, and they had a lot of fun. Rachel made her a bracelet, but as usual lost interest quickly, so she wasn't in the picture.
My kids love doing that too...but we dont do it very often...that might be something to look forward to doing ourselves, after our Florida trip...
ReplyDeleteYes, look for the little shells that have tiny holes in the top, it is really cool, and a fun way for the kids to remember their trip! You guys are going to have a lot of fun, but don't be surprised if the kids are more excited about the hotel pool than the beach! Last year our kids refused to play in the water at all and whined about going swimming the whole time. This year, our hotel didn't have a pool, so they HAD to learn how to play on the beach!!

ReplyDeleteLove the necklaces! My daugher Madison is almost obsessed with sea shells right now. Her Nana brought her a huge shell back from Hawaii last summer and her teacher brought her a small shell from Florida this year. I should really at least go buy the 'fake' shells and let her make a necklace with them! Good idea!
