I can honesty say that when Rachel was born, that was the craziest time of our life. We had 3 children age 2 and under. It was survival mode everyday, and at the time, I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to make through some days. I wish I could go back into that stage in their life with the knowledge I have now and let myself enjoy that time. Now, I do have the crazy memories, but I have so many fond memories of my babies.
Just look at this picture below. It pretty much sums up our life at the time. In this one shot you can see 1 child on the move, 2 others....no telling where they were. In the background, you can see the bathroom door where someone peeled the paint off the door. You see a package of sz 5 Dry Bottoms...Walmart generic brand....they were the cheapest diapers we could get b/c hey....we had THREE kids in diapers at once. Looks like that right there in the doorway, is a rolled up dirty diaper that we attempted to throw in the kitchen and missed. I see a pacifier in the floor. Against the couch, I can see just barely the baby gate...that normally was in that doorway that Leah is coming out of...might be the reason for her being on the move, she probably busted it down! A ride on car that sang nursery rythms and a couple of toys. Oh, and that one piece outfit....I do believe that was the stage I bought several of those b/c Leah had learn to undress herself, and remove her diapers. I guess she was little over a year and a half at the time.
i love it!!! my house looked like that also, but i only had 2 kids!! haha i really didn't know how you did it, but you were always and still are a supermom in my eyes! you always stayed so calm. lauren had that red dress too by the way!! old navy!!
ReplyDeleteI lived through the "one on my hip and one in a carrier" days! It was wild, and some of my pics are hilarious too. We will really be able to embarrass them in the yearbook, won't we....
