Pinnacle Mountain Homeschool Friday

First, I have said before, you can see Pinnacle Mountain from our front yard. It doesn' look that far away, but when the only bridge that leads across the River to get from here or there is nowhere near our house, or the mountain, it takes us over 30 mins to get there!

I think it is awesome that the rangers at the park there take the time out to provide programs just for homeschool families every Friday! On this day they had different stations set up for the kids. It was really cool.

Rock/Mineral identification (we got keep a bag of rocks to identify)
Mammal footprints Molds for all the mammal footprints (we got to keep one too)
Making leaf imprints with rubber stamps and paint. They turned out really neat

and messy.....
They have a really nice playground the kids couldn't wait to go play on!
