Where did this boy come from????

So, this week has been crazy busy around here, we have gotten school done each morning, but otherwise have gone somwhere everyday looking for stuff for the office, picture sessions, library, zoo, Garden Ridge 2 or 3 times.....just busy! So you can imagine the state of our house. It has blown up everywhere. Last night, it just kept getting worse and worse, but we were just too tired to care.

Do you ever get so tired, that you don't even have the energy to put the kids to bed? That is how we were last night. We had planned on getting them in the bed early, but we just never mustered up the energy to start the battle until about 11. Well, as I was putting them in the bed last night, going through the house, seeing the state it was in, I simply said, "in the morning, you will have to clean this house before you do any playing." Well, about 30 mins later, Noah came out of his room and announced that he had cleaned his room. We were like, great, go to bed! I think we went to bed about 1:30, our typical time these days. (We need to get off this crazy schedule!)

So, this morning at 7:30, I hear the whole house awake, which is odd b/c the kids usually sleep until 9, (YES, I KNOW we are not on schedule with the rest of the world!) I come out fussing that everyone is up too early, and I don't want to listen to them be cranky all day b/c they are tired, and Noah had cleaned the den......you literally couldn't see an inch of the floor last night with all the papers and coloring books in the floor. Was carrying his dirty clothes to the laundry. He was in such a chipper mood..flittering all over the house cleaning, and just said, " I wanted to get up early and start on my chores!" That is just so odd to me to see a 6 yr old voluntarily get up and clean house. His dad and I were lazy kids, our parents never got us to clean. I mean, he hadn't even turned on the t.v.

He is not like this everyday, lately, it has been a battle to get him to do anything, but when he is in a cleaning mood, it sure is nice! Now, I am off to drink some coffee, and sit by Noah on the coach, hoping some of that cleaning energy will rub off on me!

  2. That's amazing! My boys just got up and watched 80's sitcoms on tv.

I tagged you on my blog. And good luck with the new business location. I hope it will simplify things at home to have another location to run your business.
