What do you set your thermostat on?

I am just curious. We used to always keep ours on 68 degrees. But now we TRY to put it on 65 (you know, to lower that outrageous energy/gas bill) , it may go up to 67 sometimes b/c I am always freezing. (this blubber on this body aint helping at all! LOL) I have a little space heater that I keep by my recliner, and I tell ya, lately, it has been hard to get up from that spot b/c I am so COLD!!! So, I was just curious if I am just being a wimp, or what everyone's normal house temperature is. And, I know it varies too...b/c when we lived in Warren, and our house was SO drafty and no insulation.....our heater never cut off, and it would take forever for it to reach the temperature it was set on. Just as horrible in the summer.

  1. Oh yeah...I'm freezing too. It's set on 65 and I'm wearing 2 pairs of sweat pants, sweat shirts and long johns.

  2. When I'm home during the winter it stays around 70 that's plenty to keep me warm. I do turn it down to 60 when I leave though. But I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment.

  3. OH, is this post in honor of me? LOL We do 68*, extra clothes, socks, house shoes for all, and shirts/sweatshirt (LEE!) he will come in here without a shirt on griping.. OMG, I am freezing!!! I tell him... I WILL break your fingers if you so much as even LOOK at that thermostat! Plus, we bought a Eden Pure heater and that son of a gun works too! WE are thinking about getting another one for upstairs! See we have 2 units!!! You know I already got my drawers in a wad, so don't add any more gas to the fire sista!

  4. I must be a big ole wimp. Mine is at 72 most of the time but when it is cold like today about 74. I hate being cold and I hate long sleeves around the house. Also, I try to burn the wood heater when it is really cold but I do not run back out here during the day to put more wood on. That keeps the unit from running all the time.

  5. Mine right now is set at 66*, but if we're cold first thing in the morning I'll turn it up a degree or two until we are awake and moving.
