What we have been up to...

First let me say....if this internet were at home, you would have gotten much more posts this week. I am inspired at home....but lose my inspiration while up here. Hmm....there must be something to sitting down and doing this while I am tuning out everyone else.

So, this week, I have discovered you can rent movies at the library here for FREE....that is cool since we don't have cable now. I am remembering that I DO enjoying watching Jay Leno in the evenings since Clay can't watch the Discovery channel now. I have read 3 books this week. I have finally completed an entire scrapbook album. I have had several ones started, but never finished. I am halfway through scrapbooking our Sea World vacation that I took too many pics of. Oh, and at this rate, will be spending more a month on scrapbooking than I would have on internet and cable. LOL I have stayed pretty caught up on my landry, and the house condition has been a bit better. I sucessfully had school everyday this week. I think that honestly this was the first week ever we have done it every single day, and I didn't wake up this morning fretting that I was a failure last week. I have still managed to at least check my e-mail everyday. Oh, and have even spent time making cookies with the kids, and have been trying my patience at letting them scrapbook too. They love it. The kids have been way calmer and don't even miss the t.v. anymore. It is much easier to motivate them to do things, and I am paying attention to them to make sure the follow through. Hmm...what a concept for me.

Oh, and my kids new hobby is coloring. I mean, my mom got them boxes of 64 ct crayons and some color books for Christmas, with them organized out in their own bags, and you would have thought that coloring was a new concept for them. Seriously!! They are coloring fools these days....all 3 of them. Will sit still for hours just coloring!! It is so cool! Will sit in the den coloring quietly instead of watching movies in their room. I have never seen anything like it.

So, the consensus is....Yes I still REALLY miss my internet....but it has been a total blessing at our house having it turned off! I will say though, now that the ABC tower collapsed yesterday, and I heard that people with Cable are already able to view it here, and people with Rabbit ears, it may be 2 weeks....and 75% of my t.v. viewing is on that channel...I may be a tad upset about that next week. Especially by Thursday. I may be forced to sit at the office to watch my shows on the internet! LOL
