Children's Book Tuesday: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See?

This morning while the kids were still asleep, I caught an episode of Mr. Rogers. Our AETN station rarely comes on, and the fact that I stopped to even watch that show while being alone is very odd. I stopped b/c Mr.Rogers was with a man that was painting some really neat stuff...then I realized, it was Eric Carle, and he was talking about how he makes his artwork. I really want to do an activity on this with the kids. He paints on tissue paper, and then cuts the shapes out to form the animal. Anyway, that reminded me of one of our all-time favorite books.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see? My mother in law gave this to the kids when they were little, and if you can tell by the edges, it has been really loved/used around here. We have read it so many times.

We also have Panda Bear, Panda Bear what do you see, and Polar Bear, Polar Bear, what do you Hear? We have read many of his books from the library....I love them all.

The Grouchy Ladybug

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Head to Toe

A House for Hermit Crab

The Very Lonely Firefly

The Mixed Up Chameleon

The Very Busy Spider

The Very Quiet Cricket

The Very Clumspy Click Beetle...(this one had a clicker in the book)

I found even more on Eric Carle's website, I am going to be looking for these soon from the library.

  5. Brown Bear was my son's favorite when he was in preschool. I remember going in to read it to his class. We still enjoy it now and then.
