Clay and Noah's garden

I am sorry all my blog posts have either been sappy, or about foster care. I know you all think that is all I talk about. I really pretty much is :) We do have other things in our life though, and I need to get better about sharing all that. Soon you will probably get sick of hearing me talk about school, as I am pretty sure we will be homeschooling again.
Noah really enjoys gardening with his dad. It is still on a very small scale, but they are making more progress than last year, so that is good. He gets so proud of all that they grow, and I love seeing his excitement. Here he is showing his watermelon, that unfortunately has been knawed on by our puppy :(

Some cherry tomatoes
I think this is the same watermelon that is pictured above, but he said there are several more growing, so we are crossing our fingers!!
And look at this little critter! You had to look hard to spot him, as he blended in with the plants.

  1. I'm not sure and will ask your dad in a bit, but I think that green worm is what Memom called a cutworm; he will eat up your tomato plants!! Better get him!

  2. "Cool garden" is right, btw. So sorry about the baby watermelon; hopefully, some of the others will have a better chance to make it to a ripe old age..:)

  3. OK, Dad just said, Yep, tomato horn worm...Sevin dust, spray, or liquid should take care of em. If you see any more, you should grab em and kill em!!
