So cool for us...

Thank you everyone for all the love!!! Wow, I feel so awesome to have so many great friends lifting me up in prayer, and loving on us!!
The last 2 times it has snowed I have noticed something...our yard is slower to melt than everyone else's. This is through my front door, you see all the snow, but look at the yard across the street...mostly melted. I couldn't figure out why....thought maybe we are just lucky b/c we have so many kids that would be excited about that kind of thing...haha..but then I realized that the sun always shines from behind our house, and we are the only 2 story house on this side of the street. So, it takes longer for the sun to get to our yard...but how fun...when everyone else's yard is bare, that ours is still white!

Our yard, vs all the ones down the street...

  2. that is just what a kid would love about a house! ;)

I'll mail you my connected child book when I'm done (already over half way). i think i'll write a complete review on my blog soon, but i gotta say at this point i'm not thrilled with it. but i'm not all the way through it... remembering why i put it down the first time, though.

with that said, my therapist (whom we think extremely highly of) highly recommended the book and had either went to some kind of training under Karyn purvis or to that same thing you were saying you missed. she was really excited after that, and that's what prompted me to look at the book with new eyes... but i'm not sold. maybe it's my own issues or that charity is that good at manipulating, but i just don't think her methods would have worked with charity early on. maybe now, but not when RAD was at it's worst. i need to do my homework because i don't know for sure... but it seems like maybe she's never parented a child with RAD, only worked with them as a therapist... there really is a difference! probably why i like nancy thomas and her methods so much.

  3. Hi Maury
It looks just like a snow shower has descended on your house and nobody elses! The front of our house is north facing so it never gets any sun. In the summer it's great as all the bedrooms are at the front and they stay nice and cool.
Hope your weekend is going well.
