Do you sew?

Do you sew?? I kinda sorta do. I have made some things in the past, and made a bumper pad cover last weekend. I love the idea of sewing. I would love to sit down and just whip out a quilt. I have a bucket full of fabric and quilt books in hopes of that. I want to make one for each of our children. The problem with sewing for me, is that I DO NOT get along with my sewing machine. I had one my mom had passed down to me. We had blamed it on the machine b/c it always gave us both fits. Then my mother in law gave one to me that was her mothers. That was really special, and I know that her mother sew many beautiful things on it, so I knew that would do the trick. Nope. Still didn't. By this time I was beginning to wonder, could it be me? So one day, in one of my fits, my mom said, "you should really just get you a new machine. If it worked well for you, then you would get a lot of use out of it." So, I convinced Clay that I needed a sewing machine, and I got one. Well can you believe that this machine doesn't work either? haha Yes, now I know it is the operator. He has to always come to my rescue when I go into screaming, cussing fits over my sewing machine. It never fails what starts out as a fun project, turns in to an overtime stressful mess.

I have recently made a place to keep my sewing machine out permanently in hopes that I will do a project. I want to make 2 baby quilts for my baby beds. I will see how that goes!
