I remember as a child the ice cream truck would come through the neighborhood, and I got to get something a couple of times, and I remember getting Micky Mouse pops just like these! The guy seemed pretty excited that we stopped him....I bet he comes back! LOL We had sponge bob and Spider Man....their eyes were gumballs.
And, I would win the mother of the year award yesterday. This was their second treat of the day! While we had been out running errands, we had our first snow cone of the year! I always had trouble catching one open last summer, it was always closed when I would go, so I thought we better take advantage of it being open yesterday. We love us some snowcones! My favorite flavor is strawberry cheesecake with cream! YUM!!! And that flavor is very had to find up here. I remember last summer telling Beth Tucker (runs the snowcone place there) that I had to go to Monticello just to get me a snowcone! I am photographing her daughter's wedding in May...I was wondering if I could talk her into getting me a bottle of that flavor! LOL

ReplyDeleteI just love the ice cream truck. It brings back such fun memories of childhood. Not that we were able to buy ice cream that often, but we always loved it when we could. The ones with gun were always my favorite too.

ReplyDeleteWe have an ice cream truck that we are semi-regular customers of. He actually lives within view of our home so we usually are the first on his route! I always think about the memories we are making when he comes by....
