On the way down there, we drove to Dauphin Island and took a ferry to Ft. Morgan, and then drove along the coastline from there to Orange Beach. If you are traveling that way, I recommend doing this. It was beautiful there, and the kids loved that we drove the van on a ferry and went across the water. I have more pics to post, but I have having trouble loading pics.
As we were walking up to the Fort, Leah said, "Look, momma, it is the Alabama Flag!" You see, I had done a lesson on Alabama before we left, and in everyway she acted as if she was never paying attention to me....So I was shocked and proud when she said that!! (the Alabama flag is the white one with the red X across it)
Maury! I am sorry I havent been commenting, I love the beach pictures from your trip, the ones in the sand with the heads is my favorite! I think your family is so cute and you do the most fun things with them

ReplyDeleteI remember riding on the "car boat" near ElDorado when I was small. I thought it was amazing! So exciting that your kiddos got to experience that!!!
