Nature Walk

Yesterday was the most beautiful weather/day ever. I had planned our walk the day before to along with our art lesson in our new art book, and it just worked out to be perfect outside. This trail is very close to our house, but I have never been. Clay and Noah ride their bikes here some, and when we got in there, away from the houses, it was so peaceful. You would have never known we were in the city. The kids took off with paper bags to collect any nature treasures they may want, and we all had a nice, peaceful time.

They were fascinated by this hollow tree stump
A bee on the flower....then when I was looking at the picture on my computer, I saw a little spider on the green leaf
The sky was beautiful glowing through the tree tops
We found a few leaves that had started to change, but not many yet

1 baby came along for a ride....and he was as happy as we were....you never know with him

Does anyone know what these berries are??? I am wondering muscadine, but don't really know.

This tree trunk was full of treasures. It had a mushroom, a dirt dobber's nest, and a big spider web....(looked like it belonged to a black widow)
