Butterfly

This is our lapbook we did on Butterflies and Moths. I got all the stuff from the Enchanted Learning site, and also the Homeschool Share site that is linked on the side of my blog. I also included any of my own photos that I had inside. We worked on this while we were growing our caterpillars-butterflies. This was so much fun for them! I also got several books from the library too. We had planned to go to the Memphis zoo b/c they have a neat butterfly garden there, but we didn't get to go before it got too hot. These are just regular folders cut, folded, and put together to make all the flaps. This is called a lapbook.

It may appear that I do all the writing in these. I do alot of it, just b/c at this time, they lose interest pretty fast if they are doing all the writing, and they spend time focusing on the writing, and not learning the information. I have them write in these some, and they do all the coloring. As their writing improves, I will have them do more of this themselves.
