What is today's date?

We have been gone this weekend to Blytheville. Clay had a wedding there Sat, so we all just went with him for the weekend. Upon returning tonight, we got the car unloaded, and within 5 mins, the electricity was out for almost an hour.

So, we are pretty tired. As I poured myself a glass of milk that tasted funny, I asked Clay what today's date is. He didn't know. I said, "well, what was yesterday's date? Didn't you have a wedding?" And he said he had no idea, he barely even knew where he was....LOL (he has been sick this weekend, and barely slept too) And Noah, proceeded to say, "yesterday was the 19th, so today is the 20th." I was like, "how do you know that??" And he says, "because, the day before yesterday, when we were in Walmart, it was a full moon, and that means it was the 18th." Clay and I just looked at each other with a dumb look on our face, and I said....."Noah, you are smarter that both your parents, good grief!" And Clay just shook his head, saying how does he know that!?!?! Noah said, "my calendar!" (he has one in his room, and he keeps up with it on his own) I did know where he was coming from, b/c on the 16th, (the last known date to me) he came out asking me why the moon in the sky looked full, but his calendar said that the moon wasn't full until on the 18th, and we had a conversation about that. And the thought totally left me from that point on....and apparently the date too. It is a good thing I am homeschooling my kids.....so MY SON can teach me a thing or two! LOL

  1. That is so funny because my mom bought all of our kids a calendar on clearance at Wal-Mart a few months ago. The younger boys really thought they were "big". They mark off the days with a calendar and my middle son always informs us when there is going to be a full moon!

  4. Just goes to prove that kids pay way more attention to things than we give them credit for.
