We haven't done much school work the past couple of weeks with being gone and me rearranging the house, and the kids have been getting restless. So, Friday we got out the paints. They love to paint, and I should really let them do it more often, but I am usually a nervous wreck while they are doing it...it is a lot of work for the set up and the clean up. I wish I had a big place where they could just go at it and not worry about the mess.
I told them to paint me a picture about their favorite thing about summer....

Noah's abstract version of the beach. He had a very elaborate story to go along with it, we need to write it down b/c I can't remember now. There is a lot going on in this page

Rachel didn't have a theme...but I always love her colors and designs. and she always paints her picture aound her paint tray, so that there is always a blank spot when we move it!
I admire your bravery for letting them paint at all! I wish I were one of those lovely homeschool moms that lets messes happen, but I rarely do. I can't get over thinking about who's going to have to do most of the cleaning up!
