Welcome to our school blog!

I decided I wanted to devote a blog just to our school stuff. I have been thinking about this for a while. This is just a way for me to keep up with what all we are doing, and then show family and friends. I got the idea one day when I was telling my mom what all we were learning in school, and she asked me, "why are you so worried about what you are doing, yall are learning a lot." And then I realized that yes, when you look at the overall picture, we are. So, this blog is more for me than anyone else. This will also be a reference guide for all the websites, curriculum, and ideas I use. That way, anytime someone else wants an idea, they can find it.

This is where we began. In our first, Beach, school room in Warren. We had this little room off the den of our house. I could never figure out what to do with it. The air didn't circulate well, the ceilings were low, it was very small....not functional for much of anything. And then one day, I got the idea to turn it into our schoolroom. I painted a scene of the beach on the wall, had their school supplies in sand pails, and had a fish net on the wall to hang our pictures from. I LOVED THIS ROOM....and then we moved. I think it is collectively the most missed room of that house now. I didn't care about the carpet....I would just let them paint in there, and it didn't matter.
